READ BIO
Jayaraghavendran Kuppannan is an engineering leader and software architect with over 23 years of experience designing complex distributed systems and transforming ambitious product ideas into robust, scalable SaaS platforms. His career has progressed from deep, protocol-level engineering—including network security protocols (TLS, PKI) and lightweight IP stacks for IoT—to delivering next-generation microservices architectures. This strong, ground-up foundation continues to shape every architectural decision he makes today.
Currently, he leads the Identity & Agentless Segmentation engineering team at ColorTokens, owning the full spectrum of development from idea inception to customer delivery. Jayaraghavendran dives deep into the engineering process while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across product management, sales, and deployment to ensure solutions are both technically sound and commercially relevant. An inventor with several granted patents, he is also heavily invested in mentoring engineers and guiding them from strong individual contributors to confident leaders.
Beyond his technical depth, Jayaraghavendran is passionate about the craft of engineering, focusing on optimal team structures, managing system complexity, and building architectures that allow teams to move quickly without accumulating technical debt. He is currently exploring how artificial intelligence can transform the software engineering lifecycle to accelerate developer productivity, improve quality, and make products more intuitive for users.
At ANZ Cyber Summit 2026, meet ColorTokens to see how to put microsegmentation controls in place faster while using the infrastructure and security investments you already have.
Breach Ready for a Machine-Speed World: Reinventing Microsegmentation for AI-Driven Adversaries
Speaker: Jayraghavendran Kuppannan
The skill curve has collapsed. Orchestration, not expertise, is now what separates a commodity attacker from a dangerous one. Autonomous agents can scan, exploit, harvest credentials, and pivot with minimal human input at machine speed. Traditional segmentation assumed defenders had time to notice and react. That assumption no longer holds.
This session reframes microsegmentation for a world where the question isn’t if you will be breached, but whether you are prepared when it happens. It lays out what must change when policy moves at the pace of the threat, and when defenders finally get to use AI to close the gap that attackers have already opened.
Segmentation was built to slow down a human. It now must contain an agent operating at machine speed.
Discuss how ColorTokens can help reduce lateral movement risk and improve breach readiness across complex IT and OT environments.
